Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attack that reshaped our nation.
Do you remember where you were, and what you were doing when you heard the news?

Tomorrow evening, we invite the community to join us here at the War Memorial Association where the Boy Scouts will be holding their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony. If you have any flags you would like to retire please bring them along with you and they will be added to the flags being properly retired. The ceremony starts out in the front of the building at 630pm.

Friday, September 11th at 6:30 the War Memorial will be hosting the Boy Scouts for their annual Flag Retirement Ceremony.

If you have any flags you would like to have properly retired you can bring them along at attend the ceremony, of you may drop them off and they will be included in the retirement ceremony.

There is a bin inside the front door of Leola Flea Market where you can place your flags during their business hours (Thursday-Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-2) or you may bring them and hand in at any of our monthly flea markets ( 1st Saturday of the months November- April 7am-1pm) Flags are collected throughout the year for this event.

If you plan to come to the event this Friday, the ceremony starts at 6:30pm out front where they take down the current hanging flags, then move inside for the next phase of the ceremony and then finally out to the back parking lot where the flags are burned in the gravel part of the lot. This really is an important event and we encourage you to come out and witness this event.
