Good morning! City of Lenox is preparing to send out Delinquency Property Tax letters. City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, June 16th for the election. If you pay on that date, you will need to put your payment in the Dropbox no later than 4:00 PM. Those payments will be posted that day. We accept cash, checks and money orders. City of Lenox is currently under a Level 1 Drought Response from the EPD (Environmental Protection Division). The following are things to focus on.
* Regularly check for, and repair, leaks inside and outside your home.
* Don't leave the tap running. When shaving, brushing your teeth, washing your face, or food.
* Only water your landscape when necessary and adjust sprinklers so only your lawn is watered and not the house, sidewalk or street.
Under a Drought Response Level 1, general landscape watering may be done between 4pm and 10am each day, and following activities may be done at any time of day:
* Irrigation of personal food gardens.
* Irrigation of new and replanted plant, seed, or turf.
* Drip irrigation or irrigation using soaker hoses.
* Hand watering with a hose with automatic cutoff or handheld container.

Hello all Lean-Ox Festival Folks, it’s that time of year again. Date of 2025 Lean-Ox Festival will be November 14th, Friday night and November 15th, Saturday All day. Actually, running a little late with parts of the Festival, but ready to get Vendors and Parade participants for 2025. The mobile library is coming back to Enigma, Alapaha, Rebecca, Sycamore, Lenox, and Sparks next week, and will also be in Adel with just wifi and free books. Hope to serve you there!

The City of Lenox Mayor has authorized the closure of all City offices today at 12:00 P.M. City offices will remain closed on Wednesday, January 22nd. Work Session scheduled for today has been cancelled. Please stay safe and warm.
