Mingo County this is a great opportunity to have a current teacher on the BOE to be your voice. This makes me unique among all other candidates as I am YOU. I am the teacher, the former coach, the teacher representative for the union, the sports official and the parent. A vote for me is a vote for having a teacher on the school board.

We have to work on building the morale of all school employees. That comes through effective communication and transparency. We need to be listening to their needs and supporting them in anyway that we can.

The Mingo County BOE needs someone who supports educators, service personnel, admins, coaches, parents and students. One who believes that EVERY child needs to have a solid public education. On May 10th please help me to be that support that is needed.

The school facilites is in desperate need of being upgraded. There are many needs throughout the county ranging from HVAC units, issues with parking, paving, athletic needs and security systems. We need state of the art facilities. The county board needs to be financially smart and put the facilities as a priority. This is a start to retaining students and keeping them in our county instead of losing students to neighboring states and counties.

Early voting begins today and as you take to the polls to exercise your right to vote. I would be honored if you would vote for me as your voice on the Mingo County Board of Education. I will be transparent and honest with the people of Mingo County. This is where I attended school and where my children attended and still attend school. I want a better school system for not only my family but for your family. Thank your for considering me as your voice!!!!

As a board member it should be vital to know what is going on in schools and know the conditions of our school buildings. Board members need to be visible in our schools talking to all staff members and students to determine the needs and wants to improve our schools and educational curriculum.

Mingo County spends thousands upon thousands of dollars for these out of state experts to come into our schools and tell us how we can do this and that to make our school system better and to provide a better curriculum to the students. Has the board ever stopped to think how much money they can save and spend on other things such as facilities that need upgraded throughout the county, resource officers in all schools and better ways to budget that money? Let’s start by getting the real experts input on what is needed. The school employees of Mingo County who they should be talking with. These are the real experts!!!!
