Friday night’s Bingo event was our most successful one yet — the house was absolutely PACKED! We are beyond grateful for the overwhelming support from our community.

Because of you, we’re able to continue our mission of helping keep our community safe. Every card played and every seat filled made a difference.

Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and supported this event. We can’t wait to see you at the next one!

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month 💙

The Lenoir/Caldwell County Crime Stoppers Board remains committed to the safety and well-being of our children. Protecting the most vulnerable in our community is not just a responsibility—it’s a mission we all share.
We are grateful for community partners who stand with us in raising awareness and making a difference. Pictured with the Crimestoppers board is Wendy Welker, owner of Anywhere'z Fine in Hudson. The Lenoir Caldwell Crime Stoppers board is made up of citizens from Caldwell County with law enforcement liaisons.

*******Scam Alert********

Scammers are increasingly targeting people looking for pets online-especially puppies🐕‍🦺-by asking for a deposit up front, before the victim even sees the pet in person, then disappearing once the money is sent.
Here's what usually happens:
Scammers post adorable photos online, like Facebook, Craigslist, Instagram, or fake breeder websites. They claim the pet is in high demand and that multiple families are interested. They ask for a deposit to hold the pet, usually through Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, or gift cards. After the deposit is sent, they stop responding and the listing disappears and the profile is deleted. If the price is too good to be true, or the seller refuses to video chat or show the pet live, they won't allow you to pick the pet up and pay cash in person, or they claim to be out of state but will ship the pet, then the deal is most likely FAKE. The profiles and transactions are often impossible to trace and the app you used to pay will refuse to reverse the transaction. Sheriff Kevin Bean reminds citizens: "if someone is pressuring you to send money quickly for something you've never seen in person, that a major red flag. Take your time, verify who you're dealing with and when in doubt-DON'T SEND THE MONEY!" Please share this post to help others in your community!
