Gamewell Fire Dept. would like to publicly say a huge thank you to Lieutenant Ethan Story for all of his service to the community including his medical certification as an EMT and being a certified firefighter. He is always willing to help with fire prevention, the high school Prom Promise, and the annual Open House. He has helped with the Chief Keith Owens Junior Fire Academy for several years which he was one of the first cadets to participate in 2018. Lieutenant Story you have made a great impact to many in the Gamewell community and we wish you all of the best as you pursue your career in the army.

With temperatures expected to drop sharply tonight and into the morning, we're reminding everyone to take steps to prevent frozen pipes at home.

Helpful tips:
💧 Keep your water flowing, a little past a drip.
🚪 Open cabinet doors to expose pipes in rooms with heat.
💡 Keep lights on in basements or pump houses.

A few small steps can help prevent major damage. Stay warm and stay safe!
