First day, first car door opened, first of many breakthroughs! The doors are open and Camp Caldwell is officially underway.

This morning, amazing educators from across the district welcomed our students for a camp packed with small-group literacy building, hands-on STEM learning, recess fun, and plenty of celebrations.

South Caldwell High School is dedicated to providing an enriching environment where students are empowered to achieve academic, social, and professional success. Ashley Jenkins, the newly appointed Assistant Principal of South Caldwell, is eager to join the Spartan team and support this vital mission.

Mrs. Jenkins comes to Caldwell County Schools from neighboring Alexander County Schools, where she has served as an administrator for several years. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation as a true "connector" – a leader who excels at bringing together school stakeholders, including families, staff, and community partners, to build a strong network of support around every student.

Believing that strong collaboration is the key to a thriving educational environment, Mrs. Jenkins is passionate about ensuring that South Caldwell's hallways remain a place where students are motivated to reach their full potential. She is excited to bring her leadership experience and relationship-driven approach to the home of the Spartans.

Caldwell County Schools administration and the Caldwell County Board of Education look forward to having Ashley Jenkins join the leadership team at South Caldwell High School next fall. Ashley Jenkins’ appointment to South Caldwell High School was announced on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Katie Wright, the newly appointed Assistant Principal of Dudley Shoals, is ready to bring her passion for student achievement to the Eagle family.

Ms. Wright is a highly respected veteran elementary educator who steps into this leadership role with a distinguished track record, having been named the Gamewell Elementary School Teacher of the Year. Her extensive experience and recognized excellence make her a phenomenal addition to the Dudley Shoals administrative team.

At the core of Ms. Wright's educational philosophy is a commitment to engaging and motivating students to dream big and achieve their individual goals. She is a firm believer in the power of educator teamwork, specializing in collaborating with teachers to identify and cultivate each student's unique skills so they can use those strengths to find lasting success.

Caldwell County Schools administration and the Caldwell County Board of Education are proud to have Katie Wright help lead Dudley Shoals Elementary School next fall. Ms. Wright’s appointment to Dudley Shoals Elementary School was announced on Monday, June 8, 2026.
