Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of September 14th.
1. We had a wonderful book fair, spirit week, kick-off program for our fundraiser, and grandparents’ dinner last week. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made these events memorable.
2. Wednesday we are wearing pink to support Ms. Stephanie and students can bring $2.00 to wear a hat to school. All donations will help Ms. Stephanie in her battle against cancer.
3. On Friday we will be celebrating Freedom week, so we are asking students to wear red, white, and blue.
4. We have lots of volunteer opportunities coming over the next month so check it out: https://bit.ly/26-27EESVolSignup .
5. We are looking for donations of orange snacks and treats for a staff appreciation on Thursday.
6. We are continuing our initiative for more sidewalk helpers in the morning. We are thankful to everyone who helped open doors from 7:15-8:00 last week. This week on Tuesday: Caviness and Scully; Wednesday: Dauscha and Schaffer; Thursday: Hoffman and Frye; Friday: Dutrumble
7. Parent Tip: This week, we will be reading Chapters 1-5 of Charlotte’s Web. Be sure to ask your child about what has happened in the story so far and encourage them to share their favorite parts, characters, and predictions for what might happen next! We have also included a fun "I Spy" sheet that you can complete together while talking about the book. https://aptg.co/N-HrH1 It's a great way to spark conversation and help reinforce your child's understanding of the story.
