⚠️🚒 Motor Vehicle Accident🚒⚠️

❗️UPDATE❗️
As of 8:26 A.M. EST, all lanes of I-75 Northbound have reopened.

Earlier this morning at approximately 4:20 A.M. EST, Loudon County Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on I-75 Northbound at Mile Marker 82.2. The incident involved an overturned semi-truck with one victim trapped inside. The first arriving Engine arrived on scene four minutes after going enroute and immediately started extrication. The victim was safely removed from the semi and reported only having minor injuries as well as not needing transport to the hospital by EMS.

Only one lane of I-75 NB is currently open while the wrecker company works to get the semi back upright. Please seek alternate routes of travel and if you must take this route, please remember to slow down and watch for emergency personnel.

Last night on February 2nd, 2026 at around 8:20 P.M. EST, Loudon County Fire / Rescue was dispatched out to a reported structure fire in the 2000 block of Hines Valley Rd. Units observed heavy smoke from the area during their response and confirmed it to be a working fire. The first arriving Engine arrived on scene four minutes after being dispatched and found a small, single story structure heavily involved as well as one vehicle on fire with another house threatened. Crews immediately began an offensive fire attack with a hose line while a second line was used to cool the threatened structure. All occupants were reported out of the structure and advising of no injuries. Crews had a knockdown on the fire within ten minutes of arriving on scene and began switching to salvage and overhaul operations. Crews remained on scene for another hour continuing operations until overhaul was completed.

We would like to thank the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, TN., Priority Ambulance, Greenback Fire Department, Tellico Village Fire Department, and the Red Cross for their assistance.

Earlier today around 9:15 A.M. Loudon County Fire / Rescue was dispatched out to a tractor trailer fire on I-75 SB at the 76 mile marker. The first arriving engine was on scene within 7 minutes of going enroute after encountering heavy traffic on the interstate. Crews immediately began fire attack on the trailer and had a knockdown on the fire within 5 minutes of arriving. Crews remained on scene for another hour, extinguishing any hot spots and checking to make sure no fire had extended to the contents of the trailer. The one occupant in the vehicle got out uninjured.

⚠️🚒 Motor Vehicle Accident 🚒⚠️

Loudon County Fire / Rescue along with Loudon County Sheriffs Office, Priority EMS, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are currently on scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a semi on I-40 East at the 365.6 mile-marker.

The interstate is currently shut down in that direction of travel and it is unknown when it will reopen. Please seek alternate routes and be prepared to stop if you are traveling in that direction.

Loudon County Fire/Rescue personnel are currently enroute to a working structure fire off of Conkinnon Drive in Lenoir City. Please avoid the area and remember to pull to the right and stop for any emergency vehicles!

FATAL WRECK SHUTS DOWN EASTBOUND INTERSTATE 40 AT THE 366 MILE MARKER

First responders with the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, Loudon County Fire/Rescue, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Priority Ambulance Service, and the Tennessee Department of Transportation are on scene of a fatal wreck with injury that has shut down I-40 East at the 366 mile marker.

At this time, there is no estimated duration for how long the interstate will remain closed. Please slow down, move over and seek alternative routes.

🚒🔥 Vehicle Fire 🔥 🚒

Earlier today at 11:30 A.M. Loudon County Fire/Rescue was dispatched out to the 79 mile marker of I-75 south bound for a vehicle fire. The first arriving engine was on scene within 5 minutes of going enroute and found the vehicle to already be fully involved and spreading to vegetation. Firefighters brought the fire under control just minutes after arriving on scene and had the interstate back open at 12:40 P.M. All occupants in the vehicle safely made it out uninjured. We would like to thank the Tennessee Highway Patrol for their assistance on scene.

The LCFR is the primary fire department for Loudon County, outside the cities. LCFR covers the vast majority of the county and is staffed by all volunteers. Loudon County contributes $200,000.00 to the operations of the department. So the fundraiser is a large part of their income to also support operations.
