On the afternoon of 10/25, 911 was activated for a female who delivered a baby boy approximately 1250’ inside a storm drain tunnel system. HFR units, E10, E210, E13, USR12, B3, SMG T214, E16, B6, CALFire USR36, B3 along with AMR worked together seamlessly to put together a technical rescue plan to locate and extricate the 2 pts in the confined space environment . Once the plan was established and a confined space permit opened, it took a confined space rescue crew approximately 25 mins to locate pt and new born baby and get them out to the awaiting AMR crew for transport to an area ED for further evaluation.
