We had another GREAT rendezvous this year, and we want to thank EVERYONE who attended, contributed, or supported this event in any way!! Wow!! We had an amazing turnout for Youth Day today!! Huge thanks to the schools, teachers, & parents that helped bring the kids to a day of outdoor activities - a little bit of history blended in with a bit of fun!!

When we say "Schedule is subject to change" - we mean the schedule is subject to change! hahaha
Our crew has come up with some new & creative "special shoots" for this year, which will be a fun twist for everyone involved. But one thing we have learned over the years... the guys are not very good about adhering to a schedule when it comes to the shoots... When the sun is shining 'just so', and the wind is blowing 'just so', and the feeling hits them 'just so' - they'll start a shoot!! But the organizing crew always feels compelled to put a time down on the schedule anyway. BEAR with us (pun intended!!!)
Larry Larson is going to head up an archery shoot too, and we are really looking forward to adding that to our activities this year as well.

Do you have your raffle tickets yet for the HGR 2026 Raffle? Be sure to get your tickets soon, as the drawing will be held August 29th! One of our valued prizes is the hand forged blade, made by bladesmith Steve Grosvenor. And this year's knife is a PURE BEAUTY!
We also will have a gun, a handmade quilt, and numerous other desirable items - something for everyone, but nothing for anyone that doesn't have a ticket!!! šŸ˜‰ Tickets can be purchased from any one of our committee members: Pete & Sherry Gusenius, LaQuita Shockley, Chad Abel, Seth Schoon, or Kyle Nilson...or come out to the Hugh Glass Rendezvous and purchase your ticket and other memorabilia there!

Is there ANY chance that one of our campers coming to this year's Hugh Glass Rendezvous, or someone in the community, has a propane pit (similar to the one pictured) that we could use to replicate our regular campfire? We currently have a burn ban in place and cannot have any open fires, but we can make do with a propane-fed fire, if someone has something we could use over the weekend? Let us know please!!! FYI - We all know how dry it has been & it is our mission to be good stewards of the Hugh Glass Campground, so PLEASE be aware of the current burn ban that is in effect.
When this happens during Rendezvous, we make special allowances to veer from total primitive cooking methods. Just bring along a couple extra blankets to cover your grills.
