🌳 Lehi’s urban forest is getting a health checkup!
Throughout June, Lehi City will be conducting a public tree inventory to better understand the species, size, condition, and health of approximately 35,000 public trees throughout our community.
Using specialized scanning and mapping technology, survey teams will collect information from trees located in park strips, public parks, the Lehi Cemetery, and City facilities. This data will help guide future tree maintenance, pruning, planting, and long-term urban forest management efforts.
Residents may notice survey vehicles and crews working in neighborhoods during June. Beginning June 11, residents are encouraged to avoid parking directly in front of trees located in park strips when crews are scheduled to be in their area to help ensure accurate data collection.
🌱 Trees provide shade, improve air quality, support mental wellness, and help create healthier, more beautiful neighborhoods. This inventory will help Lehi continue to grow and care for a healthy, resilient urban forest for generations to come.
Neighborhood schedules and additional details will be shared as routes are finalized.
