The Countywide Test of the Outdoor Warning System is this morning at 10am.

Good Morning! It is going to be a pretty warm and sunny day out today and a perfect day to test the monthly outdoor sirens. These sirens are designed to be heard outside, so if you haven’t had a chance to step outside yet, keep an ear out around 10 a.m. for them.
Afterwards, let us know where you were and whether or not you heard them. This information lets us know whether a siren is working or not.

Hometown Hero Banner Program Update

We’re excited to share that we have received word that the Leeton Hometown Hero Banners are expected to be completed by the printer on June 11th!

Once the banners are delivered, installation is planned for the following week or two, depending on weather conditions and scheduling.

We know many of you are eager to see these banners displayed throughout our community, and we appreciate your patience as we work through the final steps of the process. The City of Leeton is honored to recognize the service and sacrifice of our hometown heroes.

We will update you on the installation date once we receive that information. Thank you for your support!

The City of Leeton and Mineral Creek Cemetery would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who gave so generously of their time over Memorial Day weekend.

A very special thank you to Loretta Burford and Debbie Bodenhamer for graciously volunteering Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at the cemetery. These ladies welcomed visitors, accepted donations, and even helped families locate graves. Your kindness, compassion, and dedication did not go unnoticed.

We would also like to thank Larry Wilson and his family for donating their time to place a flag at every Veteran’s grave. Your efforts helped honor those who so faithfully served our country, and we are truly grateful.

These volunteers have gone above and beyond in service to Mineral Creek Cemetery and our community.

We also appreciate our Mayor for taking the time to help smooth out the cemetery roads after the steady rains washed portions of them out. Your willingness to step in and help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for helping make Memorial Day at Mineral Creek Cemetery meaningful, respectful, and welcoming for everyone who visited.
