If you know any Veterans from Vernon Parish, please consider having their name inscribed on the monument at the Vernon Veterans Memorial Park. We currently need 8 more names to complete the last monument and would like to have it done before Memorial Day.
Please submit your names before March 15, 2022 to meet the deadline.

The deadline for current year scholarship applications remains April 13, 2020. However, due to the current outbreak of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) the administrative requirements for school counselor verification/signature, along with certified copies of school transcripts is being waived. All other requirements remain in effect.

American Legion Post 145 hosted the Memorial Day ceremony this morning.

Just want to give a big shout out to the Leesville Fire Department for their unwavering support and willingness to help the Vernon Veterans Memorial Park while helping to replace the military flags in preparation for Memorial Day ceremony being hosted by American Legion Post 145 tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.

Due to a family emergency I was unable to attend the Memorial Day ceremony at the Park. If anyone has pictures they'd like to share I would truly be appreciative. Thank you.
