On 12SEP25, the 2-30 Infantry Battalion conducted an organizational day, celebrating the unit’s soldiers, families, and history of excellence.

We conducted a PT competition and combatives tournament in memorial of 2-30IN KIA from GWOT. These heroes showed the history of Wild Boar fitness, teamwork, and greatness and set the conditions for the BN to continue leading with distinction.

In 15 September 2005, hundreds of enemy combatants launched a coordinated attack across Ramadi. 1st platoon, B company served as 2-69’s quick reaction force, responded to the attack, killing over 65 enemy personnel and saving the badly outnumbered guardsmen. One month later, another large group attacked ECP 5. 3rd platoon, B company, responded, having nearly identical results as 1st platoon. Company had 2 KIA and over a dozen wounded in Ramadi. In January 2006, B company rejoined the rest of the Battalion in Kuwait. This PT event simulated the QRF that reinforced ECP 5 and the 269th national guard, and had to conduct casualty evacuation back to the SP.

Families were then invited to join us at Alligator Lake Recreation Center for food and fun. An intense flag football tournament took place where Stirke Company was able to claim victory.

The Wild Boar Battalion is proud of its families, its past, and its future. We are proud to give back to the families that continuously support our soldiers.

*Brawler Company Change of Responsibility*

Last Friday, Brawler Company conducted a Change of Responsibility ceremony, marking the end of an exceptional chapter of leadership and the beginning of a new one.

We bid farewell to First Sergeant Michael Mullins, who faithfully served as Brawler Company’s First Sergeant for 36 months. His steadfast leadership, professionalism, and care for Soldiers were hallmarks of his time in Brawler Company. We extend our deepest gratitude to First Sergeant Mullins and his family for their unwavering support to the Wild Boar Battalion. Their dedication to the Soldier and Family Readiness Group made a lasting impact on our community, and they will always be part of the Wild Boar family.

We also proudly welcome First Sergeant Brian Meza as the new Brawler 7. We have the utmost confidence in First Sergeant Meza’s dedication, experience, and leadership, and we look forward to the next chapter under his guidance.

Brawler Company remains in capable hands: Ready to Fight, Ready to Win.

*Behind Every Operation Is an NCO Who Made It Happen*

Over the past several weeks, our NCOs have led from the front, executing rehearsals, conducting inspections, and ensuring every detail is accounted for as we prepare for the upcoming Port to Fort convoy operation.

Thanks to the combined efforts of our Soldiers, NCOs, and Officers, we’re on track to execute a safe and efficient return of our equipment. This is what right looks like, disciplined leadership, detailed preparation, and teamwork at every level.

*Lethality Starts with PT*

This past week, our Battalion Commander, LTC Flowers (Boar 6), led all of the Wild Boar Lieutenants through a challenging PT session focused on building strength, endurance, and resilience.

With the support of our H2F team, the Lieutenants pushed themselves through a demanding circuit of running, swimming, lifting, and combatives, sharpening the physical skills that underpin readiness and lethality.

In the Wild Boar Battalion, we train every day to maintain a high level of readiness and ensure we remain a lethal, disciplined formation — ready to fight and win wherever we are called.

The Wild Boars have officially hit the ground running in Germany as we gear up for Combined Resolve 25-01! From executing Skydio training and preparing for a validation exercise of our Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) to maintaining UAS currency, our Soldiers have been hard at work, ensuring we’re ready for the challenges ahead.

In addition to rigorous training, we had the privilege of promoting three outstanding Officers to the rank of First Lieutenant. Congratulations to them on this well-deserved milestone!

We also recognized Capt. Ian Kessler, our Battalion Signal Officer, with an Army Commendation Medal presented by Maj. Gen. Thomas Feltey, the 1st Cavalry Division Commanding General, for his exceptional contributions to the Battalion’s Transformation in Contact mission.

As we continue to push forward, the Wild Boars stand ready to endure, adapt, and overcome. Stay tuned for updates as we tackle this rotation head-on!
