Attending Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Officer Development School today. These future officers attend a two week school to help them transition into their future role as an Officer and Leader. The next two weeks can have some difficult discussions so I’m happy to be here to lend a helping paw 🐾 .

🐾 I come to work every day to support our firefighters, medics, and dispatchers — because this job is tough on more than just your body.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I just want to say:
You don’t have to be “tough” all the time. You don’t have to talk if you’re not ready. You just need to know someone’s here for you — and that you’re never alone.

I was trained by Hero Dogs and placed with the Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association - IAFF Local 3756 President with love, dedication, and belief in the power of peer support.

So if you see me at a station or event, come say hi. Take a breath. Take a walk. Or just sit with me. I’ve got your back — no matter what kind of day you’re having.

Stopped by secondnaturecoffeeco this morning to pick up a cup of Joe and a nice little treat supplied by leesburgveterinaryhospital. John went over and got a bagel from bkd.bagels as they are amazing.

Today herodogsbill and I attended lccfr Peer Support training. Bill O’Brien from responderalliance gave us a class on Stress Resilience and support. We were excited to share the class with Loudoun County Sheriff's Office snd Boulder Crest Foundation members too.
