The current County government surplus auction offers a variety of items for sale – from exercise equipment to vehicles. Featured items include a Star Trac stair climber machine, a Matrix treadmill, a 2019 Toyota Highlander and a 2019 Ram 1500 truck. The County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed September as Sickle Cell Awareness Month in recognition of the importance of increasing awareness of the most commonly inherited blood disorder in the United States. The proclamation also recognizes the importance of early screening and education as well as the courage and resilience of individuals living with sickle cell disease.
