What a special way to end the school year! ❤️

On the last day of school, we turned the lunchroom into a fun photo session for our students! We loved getting to see every student one last time before summer break- sharing conversations, hugs, smiles, and lots of pictures. These moments are what make our school family so special.

We hope all of our students and families have a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer! ☀️📸

Mrs. McLendon will be deeply missed by our faculty, staff, and students. She touched so many lives and leaves behind a lasting impact that we will forever cherish and be grateful for.

The Lee County School System is deeply saddened to share that one of our staff members, Nancy McLendon, has passed away.

For the past eight years, Ms. McLendon was a dedicated member of our team at Lee County Elementary School. Her love for music could brighten any room. She made every student feel special and supported with her fun and energetic personality.

On behalf of Dr. Truitt and the Board of Education, we offer our deepest condolences to the McLendon family. We are proud to have had her as a part of our FamiLEE.

Congratulations to Blake Reeves for being voted Support Staff of the Year! 🎉

Blake is truly one of the greatest blessings to our school. She is an amazing asset who loves and supports our students, staff, and families so well. One of the most special things about her is that she knows every child by name and makes each student feel seen, valued, and loved.

No matter the need, Blake is always willing to jump in and help anyone who needs her. Her kindness, dedication, and servant’s heart make a difference every single day. We are beyond thankful for all she does and so proud of this well-deserved honor! ❤️

Congratulations to Allie Apperson on being voted Teacher of the Year! 🎉
This honor is so well deserved. Allie is an amazing teacher who pours so much love, dedication, and hard work into her students every single day. She is also such a wonderful coworker who is always willing to help, encourage, and support those around her.

Our school is blessed to have her, and we are so proud of all she does for our students and staff. Congratulations, Allie! ❤️

And just like that… another school year has come to an end. 💙🎓

Today was filled with hugs, smiles, laughter, and lots of bittersweet goodbyes as students walked out the doors for the last time this school year and teachers said farewell to their students.

We are so proud of all our students and the growth they have shown this year. While we will miss seeing their smiling faces every day, we hope each of them has an incredible summer filled with fun, rest, and wonderful memories! ☀️🌴📚
