New day, new Mayor!

Loudoun Country Day School fifth grader Kinsey Eaton served as honorary Mayor on Friday and had herself a full day. Mayor Kinsey toured Town Hall, the A.V. Symington Aquatic Center, the Leesburg Police Department, Leesburg Executive Airport, and even helped officiate a swearing-in ceremony for our three new officers! Mayor Kinsey, Mayor Burk, and Mayor Kinsey's dad also enjoyed lunch at Solo Pizza.

Mayor Kinsey, the Town thanks you for your service. We hope you enjoyed your day!

This week’s Throwback Thursday celebrates graduation season with a look back at commencement announcements from schools that helped shape the history of education in and around Leesburg.

Featured in this week's post are graduation announcements from Leesburg High School (1929), Lincoln High School (1922), Douglass High School (1968), and Manassas Industrial School (1945), which was attended by some Leesburg students.
