The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System represents a combined effort of volunteers and career employees who respond to emergency incidents 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. We are an all-hazards system and our principal goal is to provide the highest level of efficient and professional emergency fire and rescue service possible. We operate from 20 stations, providing a full range of emer

gency response to the citizens of Loudoun County and the seven incorporated Towns. By way of reciprocal mutual aid agreements, services are also provided to the Loudoun County's neighboring jurisdictions. In addition to conventional “first responder” services, we manage various core public safety sections. These include 9-1-1 Emergency Communications, Fire & EMS Training, Fire & Life Safety Education, Fire Prevention Code Enforcement, Fire Investigations, Volunteer Coordination and Planning & Administrative services. In addition to loudoun.gov/fire follow along with us through social media. These resources will serve as your window to the departments activities, our people and our organization.

Support Loudoun Firefighters as they Fill-the-Boot for Muscular Dystrophy

This upcoming Labor Day weekend, members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) and the Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association - IAFF Local 3756 will join the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to collect donations for the 2026 “Fill-the-Boot” campaign.

Firefighters will be collecting donations between Friday, September 4 – Monday, September 7, 2026, to support the MDA’s mission and give the Loudoun community the opportunity to make a difference. The Fill-the-Boot campaign is the result of a partnership between the MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). For over sixty years, the IAFF has pledged to assist the MDA in any way possible until a cure was found to treat this debilitating disease.

All funds raised by Loudoun County firefighters assist local families affected by one of the forty-three neuromuscular diseases. These donations provide families with a network of specialized clinics, financial aid for assistive equipment, support groups, informative publications, and accessible summer camps for kids.

🚑 In July 2026, fire and rescue personnel responded to the report of an adult male experiencing chest pain. Upon arrival, crews from Fire Station 9 (Brambleton) and the Arcola Volunteer Fire Department met with the patient, who reported having chest tightness earlier in the day that resolved on its own and returned later that evening. Crews evaluated the patient and transported him to an area hospital, where it was determined he was having a heart attack. After receiving further medical care and recovering, the patient and his family came and met with the providers who helped him that day. This was a special moment, as it is not often that our first responders get to meet those who they are able to help!

On Sunday (8/30) evening, members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System held a candlelight vigil to honor the life and legacy of Captain Dannie Wilson, who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 31, 2025. One year later, Captain Wilson remains deeply missed and will forever be remembered for his love of the profession, his community, and, most importantly, his family.

We honor his service and will never forget his sacrifice and the sacrifice of his family.

Please join us as we remember Captain Dannie Wilson who passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Captain Wilson served as the Captain and Station Commander at Fire Station 4 (Round Hill) for many years and proudly served the Combined Fire and Rescue System and Loudoun community for over 25 years.

We honor his service and will never forget his sacrifice and the sacrifice of his family.
