The Florida Department of Education and Volunteer Florida invite all K-12 Florida students to participate in the 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month contests. 👃✨ Ms. Howard and Mr. Langley’s VPK class used their senses of touch and smell this morning as they practiced drawing shapes and writing letters in shaving cream! What a fun, hands-on way to learn! 💙🐧💛

Today in Ms. Howard & Mr. Langley’s class, it was all about “My Body”!🖍️✂️Students drew and created life-size versions of themselves, built shape people, and made body collages. They talked about the different parts of their bodies and made observations like, “We have two arms and two legs, but only one nose!” 👃

So much learning packed into these fun activities—fine motor skills, creativity and imagination, shape identification, body awareness, and lots of practice using classroom tools like crayons and glue sticks! 💙💛🐧

Our classrooms have been busy learning, exploring, creating, playing, and—most importantly—building relationships and learning new routines. We love seeing our little Penguins becoming more comfortable and confident at school each day!
