Lower Kiski EMS Training and Education Lower Kiski is dedicated to quality training and education programs for all EMS providers. We also provide BLS healthcare provider courses.

Medicine is an area that changes quickly and without continuous education we can not ensure the best care to the communities we serve. Community - Lower Kiski provides Heartsaver CPR to community organizations, business and individuals. We are also a Safe Sitter site. Safe sitter is a program that teaches the adolescent the important information needed when caring for children. Continuing educatio

n - Lower Kiski is a continuing education sponsor through the department of health. Con-ed classes regarding specific topics can be set up for your organization. We have multiple instructors and can teach multiple speciality topics. Some such topics include:
-EVDT - Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training is a VFIS course and is an approved course through the Department of health.
-Firefighter Rehab
-Water Rescue for the First Responder - this course is a 2.5 hour course that is useful for all first responders and meets NFPA 1670 awareness level.
-Water Rescue and Emergency Response (WRER) - This meets or exceeds NFPA 1670 operator level guidelines. This is a 16 hour course with a strong practical component.
-Care and transport of the dialysis patient - This 4 hour continuing education is provided in conjunction with Parks Bend DCI, and gives the EMS Provider an in depth look at caring for the dialysis patient.
-Speciality topics - a wide array of topics can be covered by multiple instructors. Contact the training and education department at 724-571-5116 for more information on a specific topic.

Do you know someone that can benefit from a Safe Sitter course? Designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they are at home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Classes will be held on Tuesday August 23rd, 2016 at Lower Kiski EMS in Leechburg, Pa. Deadline to register is August 11th.
