We have a fabulous community at LitNet! 190 volunteer tutors! Many among them are current or retired teachers.
Today, two retired speech & language pathologists led a workshop on Pronunciation: Tips and Tricks Related to Tutoring English Language Learners for their fellow tutors. This is Part One of a two part series. The volunteer tutors who attended this training will have homework over the next two months and will come back together to further discuss.
We are so grateful to each and every one of our volunteer tutors. We are especially grateful to those volunteers who are able to lean in and share their expertise by leading relevant professional development workshops.
Gratitude also goes out to Lee Bank for the use of their amazing Marble House facility. And to Community Television for the Southern Berkshires in Lee for the fantastic opportunity embedded in their community membership; we were able to be trained to utilize equipment to video record our training sessions, which we then host on LitNet’s YouTube channelso that tutors who could not attend today can still benefit from the expertise shared today.

Thank you Leslie Tishler Murray and Sue Arkans, our teachers today.
