George and Martha Washington are coming to Roxbury!
Step back in time at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 13, as President George Washington comes to life on the porch of the historic Theodore F. King Homestead, 209 Main Street, Ledgewood. The event is free and all are welcome.
Celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, this lively living-history experience will bring the Revolutionary era and the founding of our nation to life—with stories, insights and reflections from the Father of Our Country! This historical interpretation is co-hosted by Roxbury Public Library, Roxbury Historic Trust and Roxbury Township Historical Society and made possible by a grant from the New Jersey State Library’s REV 250: Examining the Semiquincentennial through a Jersey Lens - an opportunity for public libraries to celebrate New Jersey’s contributions and place in history.
