Drivers in New Jersey got quite a surprise when 15 pigs escaped from a farm and wandered onto Route 565.

Police, animal control officers, and the owner worked together to round them up and get them safely off the road.

Thankfully, all 15 pigs were returned safely with no reported injuries.

For a little while, though, the pigs seemed to think they were the ones in charge of traffic.

I guess you could say the morning commute got a little… hog wild.

A small dog had been missing since the Fourth of July when a witness saw her run into San Francisco Bay near East Palo Alto.

Firefighters used binoculars and a drone to track her as she paddled nearly half a mile from shore with seagulls circling overhead.

An airboat crew reached her, pulled her aboard and wrapped the shivering dog in a firefighter’s coat.

The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA later located her family and brought a nearly two-week search to a happy ending.

Her owner said she had been checking local shelters and was beginning to lose hope before the call finally came.

A routine London bus ride took an unexpected turn when a laundry bag in the luggage area suddenly began moving—and chirping.

The driver of the 302 bus had stopped to help a mother with her baby’s buggy when the unusual sounds were noticed.

Inside the bag was a small cage containing a frightened female marmoset.

The bus staff carefully moved her somewhere quiet and safe until rescuers from the RSPCA arrived. They later named her Oyster, after London’s Oyster travel card.

Oyster has now been taken to a specialist primate sanctuary, where she can receive the care, space and companionship a marmoset needs. Rescuers hope she will eventually be introduced to another marmoset so she will not have to live alone.

The RSPCA is still investigating how she ended up abandoned on the bus.

Thankfully, what began as a frightening journey ended with Oyster somewhere safe.

Meet Jimothy—the unusually shaped raccoon taking over the internet. 🦝

A Seattle woman initially mistook him for a cat before filming him running through the Ballard neighborhood. She named him Jimothy because he simply “looked like a Jimothy.”

The five-second clip quickly drew millions of views, and neighbors began sharing their own sightings. He has since inspired memes, fan art and a growing online following.

Wildlife experts believe his rounded appearance may come from a rare spinal condition, but he appears active and capable of living independently.

Bella is getting the recognition she deserves. 🐻🐕❤️

Earlier this month, Bella went viral after security video showed the 11-year-old husky chasing a black bear away from a 6-year-old boy in her family's Connecticut driveway.

Now, Connecticut lawmakers have officially honored Bella with a legislative citation—and plenty of dog treats—for her incredible bravery. The original rescue video has been viewed millions of times across social media.

Florida wildlife officials are investigating after a viral TikTok showed a woman reaching from a kayak to pet a wild alligator. 🐊

The now-deleted video reportedly received more than 2 million views. Another clip from the same outing showed an alligator suddenly thrashing dangerously close to their boat—but the group was still filmed approaching and touching one.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says interacting with or harassing wild alligators is illegal and can make future encounters more dangerous for both people and the animals.

Officials have not announced whether a citation will be issued.

Yellowstone has made its decision: the bison will not be put down. 🦬

The bull that launched grandfather Carl McDaniel into the air will remain in the park, with officials saying they will take no management action against the animal.

McDaniel suffered multiple broken bones and needed surgery, but officials determined the bison was behaving like a wild bull during rut season—not an animal that should be punished for acting naturally.

McDaniel says he is grateful the encounter was not even worse.
