Russell County Residents - VDOT Lebanon Residency Road Report.

Lebanon Residency worked yesterday and last night focusing on primary routes. Accumulation this morning is around 6", more in higher elevations.

Both primary and secondary routes are currently snow covered and drivers are urged not to travel if at all possible.

We will continue with more than 35 pieces of equipment engaged throughout the day. Most of those dedicated to primary routes and a slight few high- volume secondaries. Reports indicate an additional 1" accumulation throughout the day, with temps in the teens all day. We currently have sufficient salt supply.

We anticipate remaining at the same level for our 7pm-7am shift tonight focusing on primary routes and high-volume secondaries, as we can. Reports indicate an additional 1" accumulation possible overnight, with temps dropping to 7-8 and wind chill below zero.
