Webpage: shrinemaplesugarbowl.com The Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Football Game is played between two all-star teams of graduated high school seniors from Vermont & New Hampshire. The game is preceded by a spectacular parade of Shrine Units from throughout the Northeast Region. It is one of 30 Shrine Football Games played every year across the country. "Strong Legs Run That Weak Legs May Walk" is the

motto of every Shrine Football Game and it can be seen every summer as 72 young men from New Hampshire and Vermont play their hearts out for the benefit of the children in the Shrine hospitals. And, when they step off the field at game's end, they become alumni and as such never forget the children they played for.

The Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Board of Governor’s is pleased to announce the head coaches for the
73rd Annual Shrine Bowl football game that will be played Saturday, August 1st at 11:30 AM at the Vermont
State University – Castleton campus.
The Vermont coach was announced at the annual North-South game on Sunday November 23rd. Coach Ethan
Curtis of Essex High School was presented to the crowd at halftime by Vermont team Athletic Director Dave
Capman. Coach Curtis is a graduate of Essex High School, class of 2010, where he played football. He states:
“this is an honor that is not only special to his coaching career, but also carries deep personal meaning. His
grandfather was a dedicated Shriner, and being chosen for this role allows him to continue that legacy of
service, leadership, and commitment to community.” Coach Curtis will bring his love of football to Vermont
State University – Castleton at Dave Wolk Stadium, where he was a player for all four years of college. Known
for his passion for player development, strong culture-building, and his competitive spirit, Coach Curtis brings
energy, integrity, and gratitude to this year’s Shrine coaching staff.
Coach Curtis shares: “Coaching in the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl is far more than a football opportunity—it’s a
chance to give back to children and families who need support, hope, and strength. It means using the game I
love to help fuel a mission larger than myself, standing alongside a community dedicated to care and
compassion. Being part of Shrine is an honor, a responsibility, and a reminder that football can change lives
well beyond the field.”
The 2026 NH head coach was announced at the NH Coaches Huddle in Manchester, NH Wednesday December
3
rd. New Hampshire team Athletic Director Gary Mayo introduced Coach Tim Snow to those in attendance.
Coach Snow has been the head coach at Franklin High School for the past five years. Previously, he had been
assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Winnisquam High School for twelve years. While there, he
was instrumental in the Bears winning back-to-back state championships in 2017 & 2018.
Coach Snow was also an assistant coach of the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl games in 2018 & 2024. He states this
experience gave him the passion to become the head coach of this historic game in support of Shriners
Children’s healthcare facilities. Tim has been an advocate of this game for years and is very excited to be
named head coach. He states: “I cannot wait to get started.”

Coach Snow has also been Head Coach & State Director for Team NH Football University National Tournament
for five years. As Coach Snow winds down his coaching career, he states: I could not be prouder to be
appointed as head coach for the 2026 Shrine game.” Further, he stated: “this is an honor that I have wanted to
experience for several years and I am thankful for the opportunity.”
