Time's running out for you to turn in your bid on the MCPS Dream Bus!

Sealed bids will be accepted until 11:00 am, Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the MCPS Board of Education building. Bids must be typed or written in ink and must be in an envelope marked “Bus” in the lower left-hand corner. The bidder’s return address shall appear in the upper left-hand corner. The seller reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.

About the Dream Bus

The Dream Bus is a 1998 International conversion with a DT466 motor with approximately 226,000 miles. The Dream Bus has a rebuilt transmission which was installed in 2015 and has approximately 6,000 miles on it since rebuild.

According to the MCPS Transportation Department, the bus runs and drives, and it is equipped with working air conditioning, stereo, and TV. The tires are in good condition. There is also an awning, which is in good condition.

Known issues:

* Breaker #2 trips when running everything at once, likely a wiring issue
* Small shimmy in the front end while driving

Here's a look at the menu for this week's meal distribution. Remember, if you plan on picking up meals, enter campus near Lebanon Middle School and follow the map to our distribution site. Please pay close attention to any staff members directing traffic as we are adjusting our pick-up route slightly. Meals will be handed out tomorrow (6-3-26) from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Yup… It’s back! Kentucky Summer EBT provides $120 in extra grocery benefits to families in our community. Many eligible children are automatically enrolled in Summer EBT through other programs they already participate in.

At our first summer meal distribution, our School Nutrition department handed out 1,337 bundles for a total of 20,055 meals distributed! Our next meal distribution is Wednesday, June 3 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Glasscock Elementary.

Because there was such a huge turnout for our first meal distribution, we’ll be making some slight adjustments to our pick-up route to make better use of the MCHS parking lot. This may include directing vehicles to line up around the perimeter of the parking lot or creating back-and-forth lines to accommodate more vehicles. Also, for the safety of our School Nutrition staff and to help things run smoothly, please pay close attention to staff members directing traffic, especially as you near the pick-up site.
