September is National Preparedness Month! 🚨

Preparedness starts with taking simple steps before an emergency happens. Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing information and resources to help you and your family become better prepared for the unexpected.

One of the best places to start? Build an emergency kit. 🎒

Think about what your household would need if normal routines were disrupted. Food, water, medications, important documents, supplies for pets, and even a few comfort items can make a big difference.

Don’t wait until you need it. Build your kit before the emergency.

🚨 Outdoor Warning Sirens: What You Need to Know

🔹 Sirens are owned and maintained by the local city, village, or township where they are located.
🔹 They are designed to warn people OUTDOORS and may not be heard inside your home.
🔹 Sirens are not designed to wake you up while you’re sleeping.
🔹 Never rely on sirens as your only warning method. Use multiple ways to receive emergency alerts, including weather radios and trusted smartphone apps.

📢 Warren County Communications remotely activates most sirens by quadrant based on the area of concern, with the cities of Franklin and Lebanon handling their own activations.
