As our community begins to recover from the flooding on June 27th, we are asking anyone whose home, business or farm sustained damage to please complete the damage assessment form linked in the comments.

Marion County, along with many other counties across the Commonwealth, will be submitting damage information as part of requests fro individual assistance through FEMA. Reporting your damages helps us paint an accurate picture of the impact this storm had on our community and supports those efforts.

If you're unable to complete the form online, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can call our office at 270-692-0491 or email [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.

Please understand that completing this form does not guarantee financial assistance or disaster aid. However, every report is important and helps ensure that the full extent of damage in Marion County is documented.

We know this has been a difficult and exhausting couple of days for families, farmers and business owners. Thank you for taking time to submit your information and for continuing to look out for one another as our community recovers.

Our offices will be CLOSED on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the July 4th Holiday.

There will be NO GARBAGE pickup on Friday; both Friday and Monday routes will run on Monday, July 6th. Please have your garbage out by 6am.

We are thankful for the recent rain, but encourage you to exercise increased caution when enjoying fireworks due to the current hot, dry weather. Please extinguish all wicks with water before throwing used fireworks in the garbage, and have a hose or water jug handy just in case an errant spark lands somewhere flammable.

Celebrate safely this weekend! Drink plenty of water and wear cool, breathable clothing.

Why do we celebrate the 4th of July. We do we invite friends and family over, cook out, eat too much food and watch fireworks?
