City of Leawood, KS Government Living with Distinction The purpose of this policy is to establish terms and conditions for use of the City of Leawood’s social media platforms.

SOCIAL MEDIA TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Posting to, or commenting on, any City of Leawood social media page constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. The City of Leawood's social media sites exist to provide citizens and stakeholders with information about the City of Leawood, its programs and services, and as a mechanism for communication by the City to the members of the public. City soci

al media platforms are not the primary method of communication with the City and any requests for City services must be made by traditional methods of notification. Social media sites maintained by the City of Leawood are NOT intended to create a public forum. The City reserves the right to remove or restrict any content or comments that is deemed in violation of these terms and conditions or any applicable law. Comments containing any of the following may be removed from public view and/or reported to Administrators as being in violation:

1. Profane language or content.

2. Discriminatory content.

3. Sexual content or links to sexual content.

4. Commercial solicitations.

5. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity.

6. Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or the City’s personnel.

7. Content that violates copyright or trademark or other legal ownership interests of another.

8. Information affiliated with or promoting political campaigns. EXCEPTIONS, EDITS, DELETIONS
The City of Leawood reserves the right to remove any content that is deemed in violation of these terms and conditions or any applicable law. Inappropriate posts or comments may be deleted at the sole discretion of the City of Leawood. Any person or account on a City social media page that repeatedly violates these terms and conditions may be permanently removed from the City’s social media page(s). The City may temporarily or permanently block users or suspend access to any page at any time. The City of Leawood may terminate any City social media page at any time without notice. MONITORING OF PAGES
The City of Leawood understands social media is a 24/7 medium; however, the City's social media pages are not monitored 24/7. To report content that may violate these terms, send a message on the social media page/platform or email the Communications Manager at [email protected]. Please do not use the City's social media pages to report a crime or suspicious activity. Emergency information should be reported to 9-1-1. DISCLAIMER

The plan will identify safety concerns, analyze crash data, and prioritize future improvements to reduce serious injuries and fatalities.

We need your input! Residents are invited to:
