There is always something going on in Leavenworth!

Here's the PERFECT family outing! Food, fun, and local HISTORY! In Leavenworth's history, as a hub of frontier activity on the Missouri River, meant it attracted a diverse population. The resultant "melting pot" highlights a variety of traditions brought by early settlers from various backgrounds and reflects the "America 250" mission to tell the stories of all Americans and the rich tapestry of cultures that make up the country, added to the Indigenous populace already here when they arrived. As the First City of Kansas, Leavenworth served as a gateway to western expansion.
