Advocating for Business, Filling Downtown Spaces, and NextGen Social Tonight! ☕🏢🍻💙
Happy Friday, Leavenworth and Lansing! Yesterday was brimming with community connections and positive momentum.
The morning kicked off at the Chamber office with our Government Affairs Committee, where we focused on ensuring our local businesses have a robust, unified voice regarding local and state policies. Mark your calendars: we’re hosting a State Legislative Candidate Forum on October 14 at the Lansing Community Center!
Afterward, I headed to Ten & Two Coffee in Lansing to touch base with Melissa from Condotels about hospitality and tourism.
In the afternoon, I hit the pavement for our "Boots on the Bricks" initiative, stopping by Main Street Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep to snap a few selfies with GM Shane Varner. Shane and his team are wonderfully kind people—I highly recommend them if you're searching for your next vehicle.
Following that, I attended the "Be the Better You" program featuring guest speaker Kevin Harrington, an original Shark from Shark Tank. A huge thank you to BTBY for hosting such a fantastic event, which continues through September 12th.
🎉 We wrapped up the night at Ten Penny for our NextGen Members Social! A huge thank you to our 2026 Social Sponsor, Queens of Clean LLC, and our host, Ten Penny Sports Bar & Grill, for supporting our young professionals and rising entrepreneurs.
