Did you know that September is National Library Card Sign-up Month? If you haven't gotten your card yet, this is your sign!
Your Leander Public Library card gives you access to more than 80,000 books, ebooks, audio books, movies, music, and online resources for all age groups. With a card you can check out 35 items at a time for three weeks--you could read a book every day for a month and have room to spare! And that doesn't even include out expanding collection of digital content on Libby, CloudLibrary, and Comics Plus. You also have access to online resources such as Mango Languages, the Austin-American Statesman, the America's News database, and SCORE Small Business Mentoring.
All you need to get a library card is a photo ID and proof of address (if different from the address on your ID). Non-residents can still sign up at a rate of $15 a year for an individual card and $25 a year for a family card.
Through the TexShare program you can also get free cards to other participating libraries. If you are a Leander Library patron, you're eligible to register 30 days after you initially get your card. Leander Library offers full access to all library services for TexShare patrons.
