The Public Arts and Culture Commission encourages, conducts and sponsors public and nonprofit programs that further the development and interest in fine and performing arts in Leander. "Leander encourages artists to make the community a beautifully sustainable place." - Leander Public Arts and Culture Commission (LPACC)

LPAC was established to promote public art, culture and education that contri

butes to a sense of community. Council may appoint up to nine commissioners, each of whom serves a term of two years, and no member shall serve more than three consecutive terms. LPAC funding sources include utility bill donations, a percentage of certain city capital improvement projects, voluntary donations by private capital improvement project developers and other private donations or grants. Leander encourages artists to be a part of making the community a beautifully sustainable place.

Saturday at Old Town Street Festival Presented by ACDI was everything we hoped it would be β€” neighbors young and old, sitting together at the Leander Public Arts and Culture Commission booth, painting their piece of the Project 250 Mural.
Thank you to every single person who came out. You made this happen. And reminded us what real community is: a patchwork of unique individuals coming together to form something that belongs to us all.
