We were dispatched to a grass fire around 2:30 pm today on the side of Route 72 near Stone School Road, and upon arrival, found a ditch was on fire, spreading into the adjacent corn field.

At 5:38 p.m., the Leaf River Fire department and German Valley Fire Dept. were called to a tractor fire at the intersection of Montague Road and Pecatonica Road. Collaboration between departments is crucial in preventing property loss and ensuring safety.
Leaf River Responding units included: Command 2492, Pumper Tender 2473, Grass Rig 2463.

Yesterday Leaf River Fire was called to the 2000 block of W West Grove rd for a control burn that had become out of control. When arriving on scene 2 woods were found on fire spreading to a 3rd and a corn field. We would like to thank all Mutual Aid for there assistance.

THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our pancake supper tonight!

We had a wonderful turnout and we were so happy to see so many people in attendance!

The crowd stayed steady all night, and we were thrilled to see so many local residents, people we have helped, other fire departments, and some new faces too!

A big thank you to Josh Lamping for his CONTINUED commitment each year for the organizing of the event.

Our personnel for their hard work setting it up, and our Assistant Chief, Ian Lundstrom for leading our department in SO MANY areas.

To our Chaplain, Pastor Billy Hardy for bringing his mens group out to eat with us.

We are LUCKY to have such a dedicated group of men and women protecting our town and our citizens.
