Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation

The Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing Leadville's historic Tabor Opera House.

High in the Colorado Rockies stands the Tabor Opera House, where you can still sense spirit of the Silver Rush. Set in Leadville, Colorado, the highest-elevation city in North America, the Tabor Opera House hosts world-class performances and tours each summer. In 2019, this remnant of the wild West—deemed a National Treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation—celebrated its 140th anni

versary. Yet the decades have taken a toll on the Tabor, named one of Colorado’s Endangered Places, by Colorado Preservation, Inc. Today, a spirited effort is underway to revitalize this historic opera house and create a center for diverse arts and culture in the heart of Leadville.

🌹⚡ Get ready, Deadheads! Roundhouse Assembly is bringing the magic to Tabor’s Live Performance Series! 🎸

This Colorado-based Grateful Dead tribute band has been keeping the spirit alive since 2014, when founders George A. Mossman, Chris Nasca (both formerly of The Groove Farmers), and Aaron Robbins (Blue Monkey 22) came together out of pure love for the Dead’s legendary catalog.

In 2019, the band leveled up with the addition of Scott Swartz and Bones (of Shakedown Street) and acclaimed keyboardist John Stenger — bringing fresh depth, dynamic range, and that signature improvisational fire to every show. 🔥

Whether you’re a lifelong Deadhead or new to the scene, this is a night of music you won’t want to miss.

Their incredible support is fueling TYC workshops, our internship program, and the Family Film Series, making it all possible for our community.

They stopped by our first TYC workshop of the season today to present a big check, and we couldn't be more grateful. Here's to building creative futures together!

It was our best one yet. 🥹✨

Savor the Tabor 2026 blew us away and it was all because of YOU and the incredible people who poured their hearts into this night.

The food? Absolutely unforgettable. Chef Eric Wupperman had everyone raving over the fish and chicken dishes, and Chef Eric Johns’ desserts and apps were as stunning as they were delicious. 🍽️

The drinks? Let’s just say Zach Ferguson brought out the pirate in all of us, a full menagerie of rum cocktails crafted entirely from scratch, with his own spiced rum batches, homemade mixers, and hand-crafted garnishes. 🍹🏴‍☠️

Thank you to & Silver Dollar Saloon for preparing this one-of-a-kind meal, and to for the pineapple rum truffles that had us all sneaking back for seconds. 🍫

Thank you to DJ Yoshi for keeping the energy alive all night 🎶, and to the always generous Luke Finken, our emcee who once again showed up with his whole heart. We are so lucky to have you. 🎤
