Yesterday, Your Leadington Firefighters & E3960 participated in a Mock Vehicle Accident at Central R-3 High School. This event creates an accurate depiction of incidents involving drunk/distracted drivers.

The Leadington fire fighters have undergone rigorous training at our facility, refining their VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search) skills and advancing hoseline techniques, alongside other essential fire fighting methods. You may have seen us out tonight! Leadington Fire Department firefighters were hard at work training at our acquired structure. Using a fog machine to simulate live fire conditions, crews focused on realistic tactics and sharpening their skills to better serve our community.

🚨 Community Training Alert 🚨
The Leadington Fire Department will be training at an acquired structure on Weir Street, next to city hall on Tuesday evenings, for the next month or two. You may notice smoke, sirens, and fire crews operating in the area.
This hands-on training helps our firefighters stay prepared to protect lives and property in our community.
Please do not call 911, this is a planned training event.
We appreciate your support and cooperation.

On Saturday, 01/17/2026, the Leadington Fire Department received a generous equipment donation.
Items received include:
1500ft 4in Supply Hose from Leopold Fire Protection District

1500ft 5in Supply Hose from Whitewater Fire Protection District

Rescue Tools & Boots from Sedgewickville Fire Protection District

This donation saved the department ~$30,000. Thank you!
