🚧 Traffic Notice – Addie Street 🚧

Excavation work will be taking place on Addie Street today. The section of Addie Street from 318 Addie to Siever will be closed, and traffic will be diverted down Lower Spark.

We’re hoping the work will be completed today, but crews may need to remain in the area through tomorrow.

Please use caution and allow extra time while traveling through the area. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

It all comes down to this! After splitting the first two games, Deadwood and Lead will meet one more time to decide who takes home the trophy!

Step back in time and experience base ball as it was played in 1877, as the two towns celebrate their 150th anniversaries with a vintage showdown at Ferguson Field.

FYI! 🚧 Upcoming road closure at Broken Boot! 🚧

A weekend road closure is scheduled to begin on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, at 10 p.m. for pipe installation on U.S. Highway 14A at the Broken Boot Gold Mine southwest of Deadwood. The road is expected to reopen on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at 6 a.m.

A signed over-width detour will be routed to U.S. Highway 85.

Following the road closure, paving operations over the new pipe will begin on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, with a single lane maintained with flaggers during daytime hours. During overnight hours, the roadway will be open to two-way traffic. The work is weather dependent and the expected completion date for the paving is Friday, Oct. 16, 2026. Two-way traffic operations will resume following completion of the paving until all the work is complete.

The prime contractor on the $550,000 project is Mainline Contracting, Inc. from Rapid City, SD. The project completion date is Friday, Oct. 30, 2026.
