Le Center Ambulance

Le Center Ambulance Serving the city of Le Center since 1974, providing lifesaving basic life support to the community

Since 1974, the Le Center EMS has been dedicated to bringing compassionate, life-saving emergency medical care to our streets, our homes and our workplaces -- to the very hearts of our residents and visitors -- thus making Le Center a safer and healthier place to live. The Le Center Volunteer Ambulance Service serves approximately 4,000 people that live in the Le Center area, and also assist other

ambulance and fire departments in Le Sueur County. The Ambulance Service is made up of men and women who have chosen to give their time and skill to help others in the community. We are trained Emergency Medical Technicians that respond to your emergencies at any time of the day. We believe that we provide a valuable service to our community!

Two months ago we started a new program in our department. Every month we can all nominate someone that we have seen doing their best, helping others, and spreading positivity.

The theory behind this is that if you plant anything near a marigold, the marigold helps it grow. If you plant something next to a walnut tree, the walnut tree will kill it. That being said, if we see a fellow member being a marigold we nominate them.

These members are the first marigolds in the first 2 months. Congratulations to them all and keep being amazing team members.

Have you heard?

We’re working toward replacing our current ambulance as it is reaching the end of its service life. This is an important step in continuing to provide safe, reliable emergency care for our community.

Thanks to the support from our recent garage sale, we were able to raise just over $2,000 toward the purchase of a new ambulance. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who contributed.

If you would like to support this effort, donations are welcome. Please contact us at the number listed on the board, or mail your contribution with a note indicating it is for the new ambulance.

Every bit of support makes a difference in helping us continue to serve you when it matters most.

Memorial Day is a day to honor the men and women that lost their lives while serving in the US military. There are a lot of people that celebrate this holiday by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings, and participating in parades. Today is not a day to thank veterans for their service, that is Veteran's Day. Instead take a moment of silence to thank those that lost their lives defending our way of life.

We would like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all out there that are doing the mom thing. For some that may be in the form of being an aunt, a foster parent, a single dad doing the job of both, or pet parent.

No matter whether the women on our service have children of their own or not, we thank them for caring for everyone around them all year long with no questions asked. I could not be more proud than to serve our community next to these amazing ladies.

We need to update our picture as we have had more amazing ladies join our service since it was taken.

During Le Center City Wide garage sales, stop by the ambulance hall and see what we have for sale. Everything was donated to us, there is something for everyone. All money goes toward the purchase of our new ambulance that arrives in September that we so badly need.

April 12-18th is National Telecommunicators Week. We want to thank our dispatchers for all you do to help save millions of lives. We know you are often forgotten behind the scenes, but we genuinely appreciate all you do.

Thank you to our amazing training officer Barb for being available to train the personnel at Horizon Place.

🚨 **Weather Safety Reminder** 🚨

Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary today. Road conditions are very poor, and travel can be dangerous. I will post a photo in the comments from MN 511 showing current conditions as of 9:00 AM.

Our priority is the safety of our community, and that includes the safety of our emergency crews who may be responding to calls in these conditions.

As always, if you experience an emergency, please call 911. Dispatch will ensure the appropriate crews are sent to assist you.

Please stay safe and take care of one another.
