🚨 Reminder: LATS Holiday Closure 🚨

Lawton Area Transit System will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth Freedom Day.
Juneteenth is a meaningful day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration. It honors freedom, resilience, history, and the continued importance of equality within our communities.
As we observe this important holiday, we encourage everyone to take time to recognize the significance of Juneteenth and what it represents for our nation.
LATS will resume normal service following the holiday closure Saturday, June 20th.
Thank you for your understanding, and from all of us at Lawton Area Transit System and Hendrickson Transportation Group, we wish our community a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Juneteenth.

🇺🇸 Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at the Lawton • Fort Sill Freedom Fest!
Join us June 27 from 5–10:30 PM at the Fort Sill Polo Field for an unforgettable evening.

General admission entry is at Gate 2 on Post Road.
• Gate 2 opens at 4 PM
• No visitor pass is required to enter or park in the Gate 2 parking area
• A valid photo ID is required for anyone 16+ (Real ID not required; a state‑issued ID is fine)
• All vehicles are subject to random checks

🚗 Directions to Gate 2:
• From Lawton: Take I‑44 North to Exit 40B, then follow Rogers Lane West to Post Road.

• From Chickasha or Elgin: Take I‑44 South to Exit 40C.

Access to the Polo Field begins at 5 PM.
Music and activities begin at 6 PM.
