GGC Democrats, along with other GYD members, showed up at the state capitol today to defend women's right to choose. HB 441 is a dangerous bill that would completely ban abortion in the state of Georgia, with no exceptions, and make the termination of an zygote, embryo or fetus a murder charge. Thank you to all who showed up! We are more powerful together.

Big news everyone:

GGC Democrats has been APPROVED as an official Registered Student Organization at Georgia Gwinnett College! We are now able to host events and, starting in the fall, we will receive a small amount of funding from the school.

Thank you all for your hard work support during our startup. We could not do this without our dedicated officers and members.

Hello everyone!

Tonight's meeting was a resounding success. Thanks to President Davante Jennings with YDG, we now have permission -- under a provisional charter -- to operate under the Young Democrats of Georgia and use their name/logo. Our election date for officer positions will be announced tomorrow. Please notify me within 14 days of that announcement if you intend to run for an officer position.

Until then, our provisional officers are:

President: Carter Bromley
Vice President: Kat Pierce
Secretary: Mathew Fryer
Treasurer: Vacant

Our official name is: “GGC Democrats”

While it's not anywhere near over yet, I would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support and effort to get this off the ground. We could not do this without each and every one of you.

Our next meeting is already scheduled for 6 pm next Thursday in the Library (Building L) Viewing Room (L-1128). It would be preferable for everyone to be there in person, but a Zoom meeting will be held too if necessary.
