Here’s a crazy idea; you want to drain the swamp in Washington, how about start in our own back yard?

Some of those courthouse hanger-ons have made a career out of leeching from the taxpayers teat.

Do you really think public office was meant to be a career ?

Maybe it’s time to try something new? Unless you’re happy with the way things are going with plentiful manufacturing jobs and beautiful roadways.

I’m trying to think of a name for a Third Party to use for Tioga County politics.

How about “The Drain the Swamp Party?”

Or maybe “The Term Limit Party”

Finally “Make Our County Great Again”

Any funny, catching ideas?

With the old timers ready to move into the Green Home, maybe it’s our chance to take our county back?

It’s time for some new blood and new ideas.

Let’s hire people who aren’t gonna spend their lives sucking off the govt teat while having their names carved into the walls of government buildings.

I think it’s time to start term-limiting our county officials. A lifetime sucking the teat of the people of Tioga County is long enough.

We need to start a groundswell movement that drains our Courthouse swamp. We may not have completely drained the Washington swamp. So let’s tend to our community first.

Is this sort of political pandering really necessary? Do we really need to spend time on repeating what our Founders already guaranteed us?

The right to bear arms is our birthright. It was codified by the Bill of Rights centuries ago. It has been tested in hundreds or even thousands of court cases.

I’d like to see our Commissioners spend their time working with the State and Federal agencies that can help bring new manufacturing to our county. It looks like they have time for that sort of thing.

How can we expect to drain the Washington swamp when we don’t even bother draining the Courthouse Swamp?

You don’t need to look to the US Capitol for examples of career politicians. Look no further than our County Courthouse!

We’ve been electing the same guys for decades! I think it’s a safe bet that people don’t think the county is booming. Or ever has during their tenure.

Sure, they’ll show up at the local clubs for free food, but I can’t think of any new or creative ideas to come from the Courthouse. Can you?

I’m in town visiting this weekend. I can tell it’s the middle of May because the trees are turning green, the birds have returned, and Coolidge, Bunn, and Hamilton all have their signs littering the roadsides.

The funny part is that they’ve actually economized by using the same signs year after year. They must plan on perpetually living on the teat of the taxpayer.

If there was ever a swamp that needed drained, it’s the Courthouse.
