πŸ€πŸ§‘πŸ’™ Congratulations, Chief Mullin! πŸ’™πŸ§‘πŸ€

The Lawrenceville Police Department would like to congratulate Chief Mullin on witnessing a moment more than 50 years in the making.

As a lifelong New York Knicks fan, Chief Mullin and his son traveled to San Antonio on Saturday night to watch the Knicks capture their first NBA Championship since 1973. Sharing such a historic moment with his son made the experience even more special.

Anyone who knows Chief knows his loyalty to the Knicks has never wavered through the highs and lows over the years. After decades of waiting, he was finally able to see his team raise the championship trophy.

Congratulations, Chief! Enjoy the celebration, and let's hope we don't have to hear about the Knicks championship every day for the next year! Because we know you will not be attending any playoff games involving the NY Jets. πŸ˜„πŸ†

🚨 Tappy Tuesday 🚨

While running speed detection on Buford Drive, our officer clocked this driver at 74 mph in a 45 mph zone. πŸŽοΈπŸ’¨

But wait… it gets better.

Apparently thinking he could outsmart the stop, he turned onto a side street in an attempt to avoid the officer and the ticket. Unfortunately, his navigation skills weren’t quite as fast as his driving skills, because while trying to get back to Buford Drive… he drove the wrong way down a one-way street. 😬

And the worst part? There was a young child sitting in the backseat during all of this.

The one positive takeaway from the encounter: unlike many of our Tappy guests, this driver acknowledged just how irresponsible and dangerous his decisions were.

Speed limits, traffic signs, and one-way streets aren’t suggestions. Please slow down and make smart choices, especially when precious cargo is riding with you.
