Last week, a driver was pulled over for a traffic infraction. When asked for his information, he decided to give the officer a false name—apparently hoping to hide the fact that he had outstanding warrants.

Before the officer even had time to figure out what was happening, the driver took off running.

Enter K9 Maxh. 🐕💨

Maxh quickly caught up with him and put an end to the great escape attempt.

But here's our question…

Do you think it hurt just a little more when he realized the dog biting him was wearing a PINK DONUT WITH SPRINKLES? 😂

💙 COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS ARE WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT! 💙

Last week, our officers were busy spending time with some of the kids in our community, and we loved every minute of it! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️❤️

First up, our officers couldn’t pass up a stop at Dax’s Lemonade Stand! 🍋 Not only do we love Dax and his family, but Dax was doing something pretty special. All of the proceeds from his lemonade stand were being donated to a friend who is currently battling cancer. 💛

Then, our Motor and Bicycle Units headed to Lake Lanier Islands for Kids Day, where they got to hang out with even more young members of our community. 🚔🚲

These are the moments that remind us why we love what we do. Building relationships, making memories, and spending time with the kids who make our community so special. 💙

WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Today, the Lawrenceville community came together to honor the brave men and women who lost their lives 25 years ago today.

We remembered the 72 police officers, 343 firefighters, and 8 EMTs who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country and helping others.

A bronze plaque was placed inside the Lawrenceville Police Department to serve as a lasting reminder of their courage, their sacrifice, and the lives forever changed on September 11, 2001.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our Mayor and City Council, Gwinnett Fire Assistant Chief Merck, and Retired Police Captain Cass for their meaningful words of remembrance and encouragement.

May this plaque serve as a reminder for generations to come.

25 years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget. 💙

We received multiple calls about a black Cadillac driving all over the place—hitting curbs, driving on the wrong side of the road, and even having the driver fall asleep at red lights. 😳

Well, Tappy eventually found him… and, wouldn't you know it, he was back on the wrong side of the road. When officers stopped him, he apparently had no idea where he was or what time it was. BUT WHATEVER...

But here's the part we haven't seen before: during the search following his arrest, a beer can fell out of his pocket. 🍺😂

We really can't make this stuff up.

Daytime drinking is still drinking. And drinking and driving is never a good combination. Please make a plan before you get behind the wheel.

Not only did our officer manage to calm this guy down, but I’m pretty sure her caring demeanor may have earned her a new fan.

And the best part? He may have learned that police officers actually do care about people… even if they don’t always love the reason they’re sitting in the backseat.

But let’s be honest, the funniest part of this video is the thought that ANYONE becomes a police officer for the great pay.

We’ll let you decide what’s more unbelievable: his confession or our paycheck. 👀

💙 Our thoughts are with Warm Springs Police Department 💙

The Lawrenceville Police Department sends our sincere condolences to the Warm Springs Police Department and the family of Officer Chris Fisher during this incredibly difficult time.

We stand with our brothers and sisters in Warm Springs as they mourn the loss of one of their own. May Officer Fisher’s service and dedication to his community never be forgotten.

Please join us in keeping Officer Fisher’s family, friends, and fellow officers in your thoughts and prayers.
