The Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office joined together in recognition of Denim Day. Every year in protest and solidarity, individuals are encouraged to wear denim to combat the idea that r**e and sexual violence are the fault or responsibility of survivors. The Solicitor’s Office stands with all survivors of sexual assault.

National Crime Victims Rights Week.

On Monday April 24th, in recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW), the Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office Victim Witness Program hosted a resource event from 11:00am-2:00pm along with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center lobby. This year’s NCVRW theme is Survivor Voices: Elevate. Engage. Effect Change. It calls upon communities to amplify the voices of survivors and create environments where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard, believed, and supported. During the event, the victim witness team had individuals write how they can support victims of crime on a petal to create a flower that is displayed in the office.

The Victim Advocates within our office are here to support all victims and if you or someone you know is in need of services, please call (770) 822-8300.
