This morning, we gathered as a community to remember and honor the lives forever changed by September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to come together because “Never Forget” should be more than a slogan. It should be a choice we make—year after year—to remember those we lost, the families who continue to carry that loss, and the extraordinary courage shown that day.

We also honor the public safety officials who put their lives on the line that day and continue to do so for us every day. Their courage, sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.

25 years later. We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

A joyful new beginning for our youngest learners!

It was a pleasure to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Joyful Learning Academy, a collaborative early learning project between Gwinnett County Government and Gwinnett County Public Schools.

This partnership brings together the strengths of both organizations: Gwinnett County Government is providing the facility, while GCPS is providing the staffing and educational expertise to support our youngest learners.

Early learning is an investment in our children, our families, and the future of our community. By working together, we are creating more opportunities for children to build a strong foundation and begin their educational journey in a nurturing environment.

Thank you to our partners at GCPS and everyone who helped bring this project to life. I’m excited to see the learning, growth, and joy that will fill these classrooms for years to come!

Yesterday was an exciting day for Gwinnett as we kicked off construction to modernize Gas South Arena and broke ground on the district’s third parking deck.

After 23 years, this $175 million investment will bring new technology, enhanced security, upgraded concessions, campus improvements and more to the arena.

As Chairwoman of the Board of Commissioners and a member of the Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau Board, I’m especially excited about what this means for our community. We’re creating more opportunities for our residents to enjoy great sports and entertainment close to home, while also positioning Gwinnett to compete for major events and attract visitors from across the region.

Proud to see this investment in Gwinnett—and excited to watch this next chapter take shape!
