🎉Congratulations to Our New Officers🎉

Chief Kevin Reading and the entire Lawrence Township Police Department congratulate Officer Denis Hickey  #281 and Officer Raul Perez #283 on their graduation from the Cape May County Police Academy.

Officer Hickey, who was selected as Class President, addressed fellow recruits, academy staff, family members and friends during the graduation ceremony. In recognition of his outstanding achievements throughout the academy, Officer Hickey received the Physical Fitness Award and the Police Training Commission (PTC) Merit Award.

Both officers were members of Class #60 and proudly graduated on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026. We wish Officer Hickey and Officer Perez continued success as they begin their law enforcement careers in service to our community. Please join us in welcoming and congratulating Officers Hickey and Perez to Lawrence Township! 💙👏

Please be advised that a preplanned, closed-campus educational event will be taking place at Lawrence High School on June 11, 2026. This event is a DUI crash reenactment designed to educate students on the serious consequences of impaired driving. It has been organized in collaboration with school staff and local emergency services.

You may notice increased activity in the area during this time, including the presence of emergency vehicles.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we carry out this important safety initiative.
