New Prospect Fire Department New Prospect Fire & Rescue Station 5 We also provide mutual aid in other areas across our county as well as into some parts of neighboring Giles County .

New Prospect Fire & Rescue is a strictly volunteer Fire Department located on the East side of Lawrenceburg,Tn in the New Prospect Community . We provide fire protection , vehicle rescue / extrication , and emergency medical services to our 5.5 square mile primary coverage area which includes an airport , a school , many churchs as well as numerous commercial structures . Our Department in conju

nction with Ethridge Fire Department and members from other departments throughout the county provides specialized response technical rescue situations such as high angle and swift water rescue scenes . New Prospect Fire Department operates off of an anual donation of less than 15,000 dollars from the Lawrence County government . Additional funds are obtained through community support , annual dept. fund raisers and federal grants when available .

‼️Attention ‼️ ‼️ Attention‼️
We at NPFD will not be having a fall fish fry this year. As much as we enjoy hosting this fundraiser due to scheduling and costs and many other factors we won’t be having the fall fry. In so much as we have always tried to he good stewards of our funds that you all so graciously support us with. And also in no small part to the County Commission and the County Executive increasing their annual donation to Lawrence County Fire & Rescue we have managed to lighten our debit burden and also place some great equipment into our fleet. We are ever grateful for you all and everything you do to support us.

While we can’t operate solely on county funds without our community support it is a welcome relief to our members that we can take this fall off from the fryers.

We will return in the spring and we home to see you all there ready to enjoy some great food and continue your support to us.

Today members of our department met for our monthly meeting to discuss departmet business and to conduct our monthly training. This months training was over securing and establishing landing zones for medical helicopters.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our friends at Air Evac Lifeteam 110 - Lawrenceburg, TN, who came and held a refresher class for us.

Approximately 30min after our training had concluded, our EMR members were dispatched to a high priority medical call, which met flight criteria. Our members assisted EMS in patient care and then secured the LZ for AirEvac to safely land and provide care.

On June 29th we had the privilege of assisting Air Evac Lifeteam 110 - Lawrenceburg, TN land at NPS for a kids PR event hosted by the school. Afterwards we helped them all cool off a bit lol

We always love getting to do this and show off our trucks and equipment to the kiddos.
