Today begins National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Below are the ladies who answer your calls day and night. As the 911 Director, I know I couldn’t do my job without them. Dispatchers are not always seen as first responders, but let me tell you, without them there would be no response to those in need.
So to my team, Lawrenceburg’s “FIRST” first responders, thank you. You go above and beyond for your community. Your commitment and compassion for the job makes me so very proud!
We definitely don’t do this for accolades but please, if you know someone who works for a 911 center or who dispatches for any agency, take the time this week to let them know they are appreciated!
Courtney, Kate, Carla, Donna, Lori, Holly, Bre & Ashlyn thank you a million times over for what you do!! You make being the chaos coordinator a little less stressful and much more fun! I appreciate you all so very much!
To our fellow Headset Heroes across this great state from Lawrenceburg 911, we thank you!!

All my respect,
Beth

‼️Attention Anderson County residents and travelers:

If weather conditions allow and winds decrease today, a prescribed burn will take place in the Dugansville Road area. The burn is expected to cover at least 50 acres, with the possibility of expanding depending on conditions.

Please be advised that the fire department is not conducting this burn, but we have been in contact with the agency overseeing the operation.

If you notice a significant amount of smoke in this area, there is no cause for alarm—this is a planned and controlled burn.

Thank you and please use caution when traveling through the area.
