A reminder to all of our followers that our Station is a Safe Haven Station and has an operating Baby Box. Our address is 4450 McCoy St, Lawrence IN 46226.

A newborn baby was found in a tree line last night along a trail on the far east side of Indianapolis.

Police were called to the Grassy Creek trail last night around 11:30 Friday night. The baby was transported to Riley Hospital For Children and is in stable condition.

Detectives are deeply concerned for the mother, who they say may need urgent medical attention. Police are asking anyone with information about the mother, the baby, or what occurred to please come forward.

Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Indiana’s Safe Haven Law allows a person to safely and anonymously surrender an unwanted infant without fear of arrest or prosecution.

A home was heavily damaged by fire in Lawrence on Tuesday night. The home's occupants were not injured by the blaze.

Yesterday evening, Ladder 38 was driving through Lawrence Community Park when they noticed two small children upset that their kite had gotten stuck in a tree and were unable to get it down. Being the perfect timing for a ladder truck to drive by, we decided to stop and untangle the kite and hand deliver it to the kiddos. It’s always awesome to get out and about and be able to interact with and help the community!
