The Van Buren Conservation District will host a Household Recycling Event in Lawrence on:

October 17, 2026
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Van Buren ISD Tech Center
250 South Street, Lawrence

Free for Van Buren County residents and landowners.

Items accepted include household hazardous waste, paint, foam, electronics, semi/passenger tires, lawn/garden chemicals, sharps, American flags, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and walking canes.

Passenger tires must be RSVP’d in advance. Limit 10 per household.

Public Voting Now Open for the 2026 β€œI Voted” Sticker Contest

The Michigan Department of State has opened public voting for the 2026 β€œI Voted” sticker contest.

Throughout the month of June, members of the public may vote for their favorite sticker designs from 75 semifinalists selected from more than 2,000 submissions.

The winning designs will be provided to local clerks for the November 2026 election to distribute to voters in their jurisdictions.
